Pneumatic Systems

Vacuum Working, The compatibility of the elements in a pneumatic system is under the responsibility of those who design or use them. Only authorized and trained persons should operate pneumatic systems. It is not necessary to take the pneumatic elements or the machine into service without providing security. For this purpose, we believe that it will be beneficial to consider the following features when working with vacuum.

1. Points to Consider During Pneumatic Application

  • Measures should be taken to prevent accidents that may arise due to inadequate air supply and pressure drops in environments where suction pads are used. If there is a decrease in the suction power due to the drop in vacuum pressure, it may be possible that the carried part falls, damages the machine or the operator. For this reason, vacuum-related elements - vacuum switch, vacuum release system should be used in the system.
  • The vacuum generator that provides the most suitable vacuum flow should be selected. If the part to be transported has a rough surface, the power of the generators and suction cups, which should normally carry the part comfortably, will be insufficient here. If the pipelines are too long and too big, the suction time will be longer.
  • If the flow rate of the intake air is too high, it will be difficult to adjust the pressure value that the vacuum switch will output. If the part to be moved is small and the flow is too high, the pressure drop between the vacuum pressure of the part to be moved and the pressure drop will be very small, it will be very difficult to adjust the pressure to be output from the vacuum switch.
  • When two or more suction cups are used for a generator, if one leaves a suction cup, the other will. When one suction pad moves away from the part, the vacuum pressure will drop, so other suction pads will also drop the part
  • Pipes with a suitable effective cross section should be used. Unnecessary restrictions and losses should not be allowed on the suction line.
  • In cases where more than one generator is used, required hose diameters should be provided according to the air needs of each generator.

2. Matters to be Considered During the Assembly Stage

  • In the case of making the exhaust outlet blocked in the generator stage and thus the exhaust line is blocked, vacuum air cannot be created
  • Pipes should be kept as short and straight as possible on both the vacuum and supply side.
  • Crushed or damaged pipe sections should not be used in the system.

3. Matters to be Considered in Environmental Conditions

  • In cases where corrosive gases are present, operation should not be performed in cases where contact with water, water vapor etc. can be made. It should not be used in environmental conditions with explosive properties.
  • It should not be used on surfaces where vibrations and shocks may occur.
  • Due to the expansion property of the heated gases, it should not be used in environments directly in contact with the sun.
  • It should not be kept near sources that emit heat.
  • In cases where it may be in direct contact, contact of water, oil or other emulsions, even in the form of droplets, should be avoided.
  • Especially in dense dust environments, the size of the suction filters should be kept large and care should be taken to clean them.
